God of War - Ragnarok Standard 

God of War: Ragnarok is an action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released on November 9, 2022, for Play Station 4 and Play Station 5 and it is part of 2018's God of War. This game continues the story of Kratos and his son Atreus. This game deals with Norse Mythology and builds upon the critically acclaimed gameplay and narrative elements of its predecessor. 

Some of the key features are:
  1. Story & Setting: This game is set in the Ninth Realms of Norse Mythology, with a particular focus on impending apocalyptic events known as 'Ragnarok'. The narrative focuses on Kratos and Atreus as they steer the challenges posed by gods, monsters, and other mythological beings by revealing Atreus' true identity and destiny. 
  2. Characters:
    • Kratos: The protagonist, a former Greek God of War, living in the Norse realms. He continues to struggle with his destructive past and strives to be a better father. 
    • Atreus: Kratos' son, also known as Loki, is seeking to understand his role in the upcoming event of Ragnarok.
    • New and Returning Characters: The game features numerous characters from Norse mythology including Thor, Odin, Freya, and new allies of enemies that make the story adventurous. 
  3. Gameplay Mechanics: Players now can customize and unlock new abilities and upgrade weapons and armor to customize Kratos and Atreus's fighting style. The game provides an extensive environment to explore, to experience and is filled with side missions and hidden collectibles that enrich the world and story. 
  4. Narratives & Themes: The game continues to explore the evolving relationship between father and son (Kratos and Atreus) showing legacy, parenthood, and destiny. 
  5. Realms & Environment: Players can explore various realms, with unique landscapes, creatures, and challenges. This includes familiar realms from the previous game and shows the new ones like Svartalfheim and Vanaheim. The environment is diverse with detailed interactions and now has a day-night cycle, changing weather, and environmental puzzles. 
  6. Visuals & Audio: This game comes with high-quality graphics, stunning audio, detailed characters and models, realistic environment and impressive visual effect. The soundtrack is composed by Bear McCreary, the game's soundtrack enhances the emotional and epic moments of the journey.
